So since I haven't posted since early December I'm just going to do a few quick photos and then hopefully I'll be more consistent with updates in the Spring...hopefully. Maybe.
The Colbath's are a wonderful family that live here in Sigua. Some of their kids go to our school (Cindy in the picture) and their son John helps out with PE. Right before we left for Christmas they invited a whole bunch of people over for a Saturday get-together. The Colbath's literally have the best food ever! They are such a blessing.
The last day of school in December was amazing! We had a wonderful morning program where the kids sang and did skits in English and Spanish. Then, we had a day of fun. Lots of soccer.
Fast forward to Christmas in Kentucky.
I got to see my Hank! Oh, and my family and friends!
I got to visit one of my BEST friends. We went to a delicious Mexican-Chic restaurant and went to the zoo! I am so thankful for meeting her my first year at Destino. Her and Nathaniel truly inspire me in so many ways.
Now--- back to Honduras! I am so glad that this transition has been wonderful. I was a little nervous because my first year here, January was the only month where I really felt homesick. Luckily this time everything has went great.
I was extremely excited to get back to see the kids. School started off busy with review, exams, and a pastoral conference. And in the middle of all that one of our American Teachers, Sheena, fell and was hurt really bad. Thankfully she is doing much better know, but she had to have pins put in her wrist and stitches a few places on her face.
Today we went to Taulabe to explore the caves. Okay, explore is probably too strong of a word. We walked through them.
I am so blessed to be here.
