February... and time is flying.

As February is finishing up I find myself pondering about next year more than thinking about the now. Casa Gringa has struggled with this "being present" situation for months now. I have to stay focused on my kids now... while trying to plan for the future. Thankfully some very helpful verses pop into my mind when I feel myself getting anxious.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9

So-- I'm searching schools agian and trying to figure out a possible future... but we will see where God leads. I'm sure it will be even better than what I can imagine or plan for.

This past weekend Bowen, Mallori, Nathaniel, and I went to Balfate! It is a beach of nothing. The best part was probably getting there. We boworrowed a car and drove to San Pedro. We stayed in a beautiful hotel... with air conditioning, a great shower, and a TV (it was so exciting). We went to the mall and ate at APPLEBEE'S!! Umm and then got up early Saturday to travel to Balfate. We made it to La Ceiba pretty easily and then headed in the direction of Balfate (with about an hr of travel left). Little did we know that we would be driving on a dirt road for 40 minutes and crossing through a river... but thats what made it more exciting. We got to the beach to be the only one's there except for three locals working at a little pulperia thing. The mountains surrounded us and it was beautiful. I will live on the beach. Someday.
